Learn About Equal Trade Alliance

Our Mission At Equal Trade Alliance

To create an equitable trade system that respects and rewards all communities, fostering sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
Equal Trade Alliance is working to redefine how trade operates on a global scale. We advocate for a system where trade empowers communities rather than exploits them, and where economic value is fairly distributed to those who contribute to it. By promoting Equal Trade over traditional models, ETA seeks to transform industries, improve livelihoods, and create a trade model rooted in transparency, justice, and sustainability.

About

Championing Equal Trade for A More Equitable Future

Equal Trade Alliance (ETA) was founded by Max Koffi to foster global trade practices that value Africa’s contributions fairly. Recognizing that traditional fair trade models fall short of achieving true economic equity, ETA was established to promote Equal Trade—an approach focused on justice, shared prosperity, and sustainable growth for Africa’s communities.

ETA advocates for fair compensation and balanced partnerships, working toward an approach that fully values African producers. Fair pay will allow Africa to become self-sufficient, bolstering the global economy. In this way, equal trade practices benefit everyone.

Bridging Continents for Equity and Prosperity

In close alignment with Africa In Motion (AIM), Equal Trade Alliance bridges knowledge and resources between Europe and Africa to address key challenges. Through partnerships, advocacy, and Equal Trade Certification, ETA is leading a movement toward a balanced, inclusive global economy where Africa’s resources support its prosperity.

In this work, ETA continues the fight for justice and equality championed by great leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., Yuri Kochiyama, and Gloria Steinem, and others—fostering a world of equitable opportunities that uplifts communities across the globe.
